Feedback on Inter-Office Quiz Night - February 4

What an enjoyable Quiz Night we had on Wednesday 4 February, made the more relaxing by having received valuable feedback and tips after last year's - notably from the Quizmaster duo, Colin Drummond and Kevin Woods of Citigroup. Thanks to them - and a most efficient and welcoming team of ladies from St Cuthbert's - the catering worked a dream this year - no queuing for a start! And, again thanks to Citigroup's kindness, the tables were bigger this year and so we could all enjoy our soup and rolls etc without having to have 3 hands and balance plates on our knees!

The winning team was Scottish Widows and we congratulate them (but are envious of their visiting The Caledonian Hilton for lunch as their prize). Runners up were last year's winners: Newton Investment Management; so we ragged this team by saying we had to admit it was no fluke that they won last year. Third place went to a Standard Life team "Three men and a Babe".

A new departure this year was raising our registration fee to £5 a head. Because Maggie Barrons and Isobel Hope of St Cuthbert's are so canny with their purchasing of soup and roll fillings we have been able to pass on our surplus for the night of £132.45 to Fresh Start, the charity who help homeless people to settle in to their first flat.
