These are put on by half a dozen Edinburgh business, professional, civil service and academic people. Members of the core group come from various church backgrounds and wish to encourage debate among a wide range of people about values in our world today. To this end, they invite nationally known speakers to come and give a talk.

Up to 50 guests come together on each occasion, gathering at 7pm and going home around 9.45 pm.
