“Real OASIS” lunchtime opportunities on your doorstep

St Cuthbert’s Lammermuir Lounge, Church and the Memorial Chapel are currently open to you every day from 10 till 4. Do use the Lammermuir as a quiet spot to meet with your friends in and have your sandwich, away from the phones in your office and the noise of the traffic in the West End. The nearby Memorial Chapel is at your disposal as a place to gather your thoughts or to pray. Better yet, do make use of the Church itself. St George’s West’s newly opened Olive Tree Café is open to all every weekday lunchtime. As well as providing a convivial space, it offers soups, snacks, lunches etc at very reasonable prices. A wonderful new amenity and rendez-vous place in the West End! The church proper is going through its final stage of refurbishment over the next few weeks and will re-open in all its glory in the summer. Link to St George's West website: click here

St John’s Cornerstone Café is also open to all every weekday and similarly provides a friendly setting for a lunchtime break. The church itself is open from 8am till 4pm every weekday and you are welcome to pop in any time. There is worship with eucharist at 1 – 1.30pm every weekday in the chapel. There is also a prayer corner where candles can be lit and a prayer request written (any prayer request will be included in the next Worship at One service). Link to St John's website: click here
