| Following
our very well-received series under this banner title
a couple of years back, we have pleasure in offering
this new series. In each case, we will have as our speaker
a recognised expert in the field. We look forward through
these talks to supplementing the general knowledge and
understanding that people in the offices already have
and thus to benefiting not only them but especially
the many colleagues, clients, friends and relatives
with whom they happen to be in touch on a day to day
basis. In short, OASIS is here to supplement the work
of the local HR departments and to help more and more
people to be well-informed and also helpful, thus enhancing
the wellbeing of many people - that they may be well,
stay well and work well. We
are grateful to the various offices who will host
these lunchtime talks.
Friends
of OASIS will be interested to know that all our speakers
give of their time and talents free and that it is
thanks to this magnificent support and the kindness
of the hosting offices that OASIS are able to offer
these talks without charge to the business and offices
community.
The
fifth talk in the series on 20 April was "How
do I help a colleague, client, friend
or relative who has a drugs problem"
by Fi Blair, Senior Project Worker, Simpson House
Drugs Counselling Service. Feedback on the talk will
be posted shortly.
