Alpha Edinburgh lands nationally known speaker
Jonathan
Aitken, former senior government minister under Mrs Thatcher,
was in Edinburgh on Thursday 12 September 2002 to tell business
people gathering at the Roxburghe Hotel for a light lunch
that the A in Alpha is for "ask anything" and the
L is for "laughter". |

Oasis also hit the national press
earlier in the year, when it launched the UK's first Business
Alpha. It attracted participants from four denominations as
well as non-church backgrounds. Seed funding was provided
by OASIS members who were drawn not just from six different
congregations but rival companies. |

Welcomes Business Alpha Initiative OASIS
Edinburgh and members of the Edinburgh business community
have joined forces to launch the first Business Alpha Course
undertaken in Scotland. Business Alpha Edinburgh made its
debut on Thursday 28th February 2002 at 12.45 p.m. in the
Roxburghe Hotel, Charlotte Square, Edinburgh. |
